This unique necklace features graduated African turquoise stick beads as the focal piece, separated by copper seed beads. The focal piece is attached to hand-fabricated, hand-hammered copper components that I created from copper wire, which are attached to a very soft, rich brown, genuine leather cord. Three carnelian dangles hang off of one side of the leather cord to create eye-catching asymmetry. A hand-forged, hammered clasp is attached to the other side of the leather cord, allowing the wearer to hook the necklace closed in the front instead of in the back. This piece wears like a collar necklace at 19" total length (including the turquoise piece), and looks perfect with an orange sundress or cream-colored blouse!
